Steven Sheil (Writer and Director)
Writer/Director Steven Sheil is best known for his cult horror short Cry which was shown at a huge number of festivals internationally including Dead by Dawn Horror Film Festival, Edinburgh, Worldwide Short film Festival, Toronto, Bang Short Film Festival, Barcelona, Halloween Short Film Festival, London. Cry was shown on the Atom Films website where it has received over 100,000 downloads.
Steven's writing credits include World of Pain, a feature set in the world of British wrestling currently in development with Film 4 Lab and 18db.
As well as working on Mum & Dad, Steven has just completed a 20-minute short for the Film Council's DV Shorts Plus scheme. Deliver Me is a psychological horror short about a spiritualist healer and is working on the screenplay for his next film Empire of Flesh.
PERRY BENSON (Dad)
Perry Benson is a well-established British actor with over 30 years of experience in Film, TV and Theatre. Perry is best known for his roles in the films Scum, Sid & Nancy, Final Cut and Love, Honour Obey. More recently he starred in Shane Meadows BAFTA Award winning This Is England and he plays a lead role in Shane Meadow's last feature film Somer's Town where he was reunited with Tommy Turgoose. Perry has worked alongside many high profile actors and directors including Joan Collins and Harold Pinter. Perry Benson trained at Anna Scher & Charles Verral Theatre School in Islington London, his debut was in 1972 playing The Boy in Samuel Becket's Waiting For Godot for The London Bubble Theatre Company he has also appeared at The Royal Court, The Almeida and The RNT.
DIDO MILES (Mum)
Having grown up in a film and theatrical environment (her grandfather who was Bernard Miles founder of the Mermaid Theatre and also worked as an actor in both theatre and film with directors such as David Lean and Alfred Hitchcock) Dido Miles has gone on to enjoy a prolific career working in television drama and comedy, her credits including Rosemary and Thyme, Alistair McGowan's Big Impression, Making Waves, Byron, The Bill, Murder, Oscar Charlie, Residents, Doctors, EastEnders, A Likeness In Stone, The Tenth Kingdom, Touching Evil, Passion Killers, Men Behaving Badly, The Brokers Man, Wycliffe, The Verdict, Holding The Baby, Emma. Films include 11 Ways To Leave Your Lover, First Knight and Black Beauty. Dido's stage performances include Chichester Festival, Kindertransport at the Vaudeville West End, Tis' Pity She's a Whore, Paradise Lost, Over Gardens Out and Dancing At Lughnasa.
OLGA FEDORI (Lena)
Olga graduated from Harvard University in 2004 winning the 'Caroline Isenberg Acting Award'. Her film work includes: Elephant Shoes and Don't Call Us. Among her television credits are: Lynda La Plante's Trial and Retribution, Eastenders and Skins.

AINSLEY HOWARD (Birdie)
Since graduating from Birmingham School of Acting in 2006 Ainsley Howard has appeared in Holby City for the BBC and makes her film debut as Birdie in Mum & Dad.

TOBY ALEXANDER (Elbie)
Toby's film credits include Young Hannibal for The Hat Factory. His TV credits include Wire in the Blood for Coastal Productions and Criminal Justice for the BBC. His theatre credits include Summer Begins at the Southwark Playhouse, Ashes To Ashes and Whore at Battersea Arts Centre / Badoc Theatre Company, All Alone at the Edinburgh Festival / Theatre 503 and Kingfisher Blue at The Bush Theatre.
